The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) will hold a public meeting to discuss its 2012 research agenda, review work completed since its last meeting, and outline topics to be included in its annual report to the White House, Congress and SBA. It also will take public comments and questions.
Following the public meeting, NWBC will convene a series of roundtable discussions on topics including high-growth industries, microenterprises, access to capital and the hurdles for women business owners who want to grow beyond the start-up phase.

The National Women’s Business Council is a nonpartisan, independent federal council created to advise the president, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on issues important to women business owners. NWBC members are prominent women business owners and leaders of women’s business organizations. The Council is comprised of 15 members, including the presidentially-appointed chairwoman. Each member serves a three-year term.
