Shelly Shops Small: #SupportWomenBiz
The Consumer Electronics Association estimated 126 million Americans participated in holiday shopping during Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday. The holiday shopping season is a joyous occasion for many, a pivotal point for economic stimulation, and a critical time for small business owners, specifically women-owned small businesses.
In an effort to stimulate economic gains for women-owned businesses NWBC’s board of prominent women business leaders encouraged holiday shoppers to patronize women-owned small businesses during Small Business Saturday by using social media to amplify the call to #SupportWomenBiz.
NWBC Council Member Shelly Kapoor Collins did her share in contributing to economic gains for women-owned businesses by shopping at a local women-owned business during Small Business Saturday. Shelly visited Sweetie Face children’s boutique for her holiday shopping needs. Sweetie Face is a women-owned upscale children's boutique established in Danville, California for over 18 years.
“Many women-owned small businesses rely on the holiday shopping season to meet their annual revenue goals. In a recovering economy, small businesses need strong consumer support during the holiday shopping season. I dedicated Small Business Saturday to shopping small and supporting a local women-owned small business,” said Shelly Kapoor Collins.
